Use several windows
Open more than one study at a time, or more than one view of the same study.
Bristlenose opens as many windows as you want. This is a macOS app feature; in a browser, open as many tabs as you like.
File ▸ New Window (⌘⌥N) opens another window on the study you are already in. Each window keeps its own lens, its own sidebars and its own scroll position, so you can read a transcript in one and the quotes it came from in another. Menu commands act on the window in front.
To open a different study alongside, right-click it in the projects sidebar and choose Open in New Window. On a folder, Open in New Windows opens every study inside it at once.
The two verbs differ in one way worth knowing. New Window always opens another window. Open in New Window brings the study's existing window forward if it already has one.
Window titles name the study they are showing, and number them when two would otherwise read alike.
Bristlenose opens on the Welcome screen rather than reopening whatever you had last.
