Export quotes to a spreadsheet

These steps happen inside the report, and are the same in the macOS app and in your browser.

On the Quotes page, the Export menu offers two ways to get quotes out as data. (In the macOS app you can also reach it from the Export button in the toolbar.)

Copy to the clipboard

Copy Quotes copies the current quotes as tab-separated text — the quote, the participant code, the display name, and the timecode. Paste into Miro, Excel, or Google Sheets.

Download a spreadsheet

Save as Spreadsheet downloads a CSV or Excel file with one row per quote and eleven columns:

Which quotes are exported

If you have selected specific quotes, only those are exported. Otherwise every quote currently visible is exported — so any search, view, or tag filter you have applied is respected, and hidden quotes are left out.

Names and codes

Exports always include the participant codes (p1, p2). They also include display names unless you turn anonymisation on, which leaves the names out. For how anonymisation works across all exports, see Share a report and Privacy and data.
